Working for Telemundo New Years Eve. This is a live set on the parade route of the Rose Bowl Parade. This is the two host doing a video show and then the countdown to midnight. Later that night I had a golf cart and my crew pass. so I drove up and down the parade route.

So I shot for the series on Lifetime today. I had to go to the designers shop, "Bobby Trendy" and shoot him assembling some furnature. After we finished shooting, It turns out that is was the director's, Allyson, birthday. So Bobby brought our some cake and candles

This is at the Spike TV video game awards. It was at the Santa Monica Airport. We had to park on the north side and then get shuttled to the red carpet on the south side of the runway. We were taken care of though. there was a nice press tent. Lot's of the young hip celebrities showed up to this. I almost had an opportunity a while ago to get a picture of Snoop. I missed it. The picture to the side is my second attempt to get a good picture of snoop. Below is bonus material. from left to right, Greenday, Tony Hawk, and Tara Reed.

So I shot the couple on thier honeymoon today. We went to old town San Juan and walked around the fort. They were staying at the Ritz Carlton, So we went to thier beach and rode on a Catamaran. I used a splashbag for my camera. That night I went to a local bar to get some chow. I met a kid from Norwalk and then was joined by the nice New Jersey girls. We had a few drinks and then went and played pool. Donna from Jersey. Cool Chick, hey Donna, looking forward to my next trip back east.

Working for this series on Lifetime. They are flying me out to Puerto Rico for a day to shoot a couple's honeymoon. This is on the plane. Long day of flying. LAX to Ft. Lauderdale, then Floriday to San Juan. I didn't get there until MIdnight local time which was 8 PM L.A. time. I walked around the nieghborhood for a while until i found a piano bar. Met a couple nice ladies from New Jersey.

This is at the premier of Blade, Trinity. The picture is of the Pro Wrestler Triple H. The red carpet was located on the cement handprints at Gromans Chinese Theater. It was raining.

Tonight There was a taping of a holiday TV special called Home for the Holidays. It's has celebrities talking about the goods of adoption. I went with Janet to interview some of the celebs. We got put in a big studio with little rooms partitioned of with big black drapes. The celebs would come through one at a time and get interviewed by each media outlet. This is a photo of Jamie Lee Curtis. Some other people who came through were Bruce Willis, Rod Stewart.

I'm working on a new series now that airs on Lifetime. It's kind of a home makeover show. This picture is taken from the location, which is Orson Wells house. Orsen lived here in the Hollywood hills back in the day. It was an awsome pad. Lot's of wood. Frosted glass doors that said stuff like, Smoking Room, Billiards Room, Public Bar.

Jaguares was in L.A. doing a concert for Amnesty International, "women of Juarez" I actually interviewed them earlier in the week with Veronica for LatinEyes. That interview turned out awful. We were told not to talk about Amnesty International by our story coordinator, But the whole event was about Amnesty International and the band wouldn't talk about anything but that. Anyway. This photo is taken at thier performance at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip.

This is at the Golden Eagle awards at the Beverly Hilton. Not many celebrities showd up. But I did get this picture of Edward Olmos and his buddie.

Working for a certian show, Today I followed and shot a paparazzi photographer as he searched out and staked out celebrities. So I asked him how he finds them. He said he just drives up and down Santa Monica and checks the usual spots. Just then he spotted Calista Flockharts car at her gym. So we waited in the parking lot until she came out. he got some shots of her when she came out and went to her car.

Did a live satalite feed for Telemundo network sports show from Universal Studios Hollywood. It's actaully in Universal City. This shot is overlooking the lower lot, Warner Brothers and the Burbank media area.

The other day my buddie Joe showed me a picture that he took of Jay Leno's car while parked on the NBC lot. I thought that I would show him up a bit. Jorge and I parked in Jay Leno's spot on the NBC lot and took a picture.

This is at the "Pink Carpet" for the Hello Kitty 30th birthday party. The original designer for Hello Kitty was there along with hundreds of desingers. It was held at Raliegh Studios in Hollywood. The studios were all made up along with this Hello Kitty AeroStream that was actaually amazing inside. The Donna's played a concert there. This is a picture of Designer Paul Frank, the monkey guy. But the most impressive person I saw that night was the actor who played Major Winters on Band of Brothers.

Red carpet premier of National Treasure at the Pasadena civic auditorium. Picture is of Nicholas Cage. Lot's of celebrities and olympians here tonight. Bruce Jenner, Ed McMahon, John Voght. and many more. Oh yeah the whole woman olympic gymnastics team.

Absolute insanity! Crazyness. You know some people say the press corp is like a swarm of locust. Tonight the camera men were like a pack of wolves. We grouped together when we needed strengh in numbers but would turn around and fight and push for the best spot. Janet and I went out to the Warehouse in Beverly Hills to shoot the in store appearance of, "Juanes". It was totally crazy. I've never been to an instore like this that was so crowded and competition. The press was packed into a small area with thousands of kids screaming for Juanes. At one point everyone was fighting and pushing to talk to Juanes and Janet started screaming and saying, "get me out of here, I gotta get out!".

I did another shift for Telemundo today. The first half of the day I went downtown and shot a story about prop 66 at the county jail. The afternoon was pretty slow. There really weren't any shoots but they were keeping me around just incase breaking news. So I was sitting in my unit reading when I got the call to go up to the sports department. The Hiesman trophy was there and they wanted me to get a couple shots of it. This is the original Hiesman trophy and it's the one given at the ceremony. Later the awardees get a replica. There was a girl there who takes care of it. She said that it flies first class in the seat next to her.

So election night I shot the opening season game of the Lakers and the Rockies. I was shooting for a new show on Telemundo called, The Laker Show. One of the host interviewed Coby Bryant before the game after he warmed up. This is a picture of Coby and my producer, Nelson. During the first half I just hung out in the press lounge and watched the election. But during the second half I got to go sit on the court between the Laker girls and the hoop.

Election Day. I didn't really cover anything for election day. I went to vote with my sister and my two nieghbors. We all got the I voted stickers, and my sister was excited about her ballot stub.

Happy Halloween. I did all my partying last night. Tonight I just hung out with my sister Michelle and her friend Arloa. We carved pumpkins and made spiced wine.
Last night there was a big party that my nieghbors and I through. actaully my nieghbors had it at thier pad since I really wasn't in the mood to have a lot of people over. We have the most interesting people show up sometimes. Christopher Lloyd showed up at the party. I don't know who he came with or what, but the real Doc Brown from back to the future was hanging in my back yard.

The last night of fashion week. I feel bad because I actaully got mad at Janet tonight. It wasn't totally her fault.... anyway.. we started out at smashbox studios where we shot a designer and her show. At the show we got interviews with Kathy Griffin and Paula Abdul (pictured). I had the understanding that we would be finished by 7:00 at the latest, so i scheduled a date, with someone i already had to postpone becuase of a mun2 shoot with Janet. It turns out we had to get to another event that didn't even start until 9:30. I got pissed. Sorry Janet for taking it out on you.

So no shoots today. I took the day off and watched T.V. while my nieghbor Julie came over to use the internet. I saw the documentary on the democratic runoffs by Alexandra Polossi, in it, one of the candidates had to eat a deep fried twinkie. I got the craving, and since i didn't have anything to do, i was on the hunt. I finally found one in west L.A. at a place called, LuLu's blue plate cafe. It followed a bacon cheeseburger and Pabst blue ribbon. LuLu's and the twinkie get a thumbs up.

Holy afterparty Batman! This time at the Santa Monica airport in Hanger #8. Actually pretty cool. It was the GenArt, new and upcoming designer show. Janet and I started off backstage interviewing designers, make-up, hair and models. When the show started i got into a verbal disagreement with another photographer. He decided to position himself in the front row, center, and refused to kneel or sit. infact he actually stood on a riser and took up a lot of usuable space alocated to the media.a very selfish and uncurtous move to other photographers. The 4 or 5 photogs behind him were young and inexperienced, so they didn't say anything. But I did. It wasn't my battle so I dropped it, after telling the guy how rude he was. After the shows were over all 4 bars were open and it's was afterparty time.

It's fashion week in L.A. So I spent all day at Smashbox studios in Culver city where Mercedes Benz holds it's portion of fashion week. It's kind of an interesting place. first of all Culver City does not give the appearance of a fashion mecca. Smashbox studios is located in a business park/ warehouse type district. The studios are enlarged by several huge white tents that hold much of the events. There are like 3 or 4 different runway studios and the huge main tent. I started off the day shooting an interview with designer Custo Barcelona. Got to hang out back stage before the show and watch as the models got made up and hair done. His show was real good. Later I stuck around and shot a couple other shows. In the evening my shoot consisted of following a semi-famous stylist as he smooozed with industry professionals and then watched the "Single show" the pictures are from that show. I finnished up the day around 8 PM but it was raining like crazy and I was parked 3 blocks away. That was no problem. I just hung out in the main tent and partied with models, designers and the open bar. One thing that i must add though. I just don't get the "high fashion look", I've never been fond of 6' tall pre-pubecent looking girls, with no breast! Give me a curvy latina any day.

There is no street parking in Century city! It totally sucks. Veronica Castro and I went to the Century plaza hotel today to interview Olympic silver medalist in gymnastics, Ania Hatch. We didn't want to go to valet parking because the show this shoot was for is totally cheap and they won't reinbuse us for it. So we had to park at the shopping center down the street. A very early moring today. I had to be out in Long Beach at 8:00 am. I got to shoot a yatch racing team. Watch them doing yoga on the slip and all.. It was a beautiful day out and it would have been better if I got to go out on the boat. But the producer and director went out instead. Today it was super rainy in Los Angeles. I had a shoot with a new client, a halloween piece at a costume story on Hollywood blvd. After that we were supposed to do man-on-the-street interviews, but it was so rainy that there was no way we could get it done. So after that I had to shoot out in Santa Clarita. With no traffic it takes about 45 minutes. It was a f ew hours before the shoot, but i was close to the 405, so i decided to head up early and avoid the rush hour traffic. I got to town early and decided to walk around. I felt like a traveler or something in a small town. I found an American Legion and got a drink at t he bar. Anyway.. that night i shot a bellty dancing class. It was cool. lots of flowing colorerful scarfs and movement, and shaking.

Funny thing happened tonight. I was looking at an old web group i belonged to and i saw a travel meeting going on at a cafe in silverlake. I was about Spain and a real good group showed up. Afterwards we went to this tapas restaraunt on Hollywood blvd named cobras & matadors. Good time.. but we had to bring our own wine.

Rainy and cloudy today. This is a shot from my back patio. I was scheduled to do a shoot today but it got cancelled because of the weather. I would have been shooting a pool cleanner out in Malibu with rolling hills of luxery and blue skies. But no blue skies available.

So it was an American Legion meeting night. This shot is in the pool room. My buddie Joe and i spent a lot of time in there. At this meeting we actually had live entertainment after the meeting. We had like 4 or 5 variety acts put on by some of the members. It was fun. The American Legion Hollywood Post 43 is one of the most famous legion post. It's known as, "the post of the stars". Back in the old days this place was the most powerful club in Hollywood. Now it's a little old, but i'm working to get younger membership so we can rule again.

Today has started out as a day of rest. I've worked almost everyday for the last 2 weeks. Michelle is in Portland for the next 2 weeks so i have the apartment to myself. after staying in bed until around noon, i slowly cleaned up and went for a bite to eat at this coffee shop on Beverly blvd. called swingers. I had a b.l.t. with avacado and an arnold palmer. I don't plan on doing much today other than compter work such as finances and web page, some logging and stuff like that.

This is still at the premier of, Surviving Christmas. This is a photo of Ben Afleck. So at one point Janet was interviewing Silent Bob and Ben came over to grab Bob. Janet said something to Ben about him liking Latinas, so he went crazy talking to her in the spanish and kissed her on the cheek and stuff like that. She was way happy and everyone congratulated her for getting such a groovy interview. Ben ended up staying with the press and the fans long after the movie had started.

This is a photo of Jay and Silent Bob. They were working the press line along the red carpet of the premier of, Surviving Christmas. Silent Bob talked a lot more than Jay. Jay seemed to get bored quickly and wanted to go inside but Silent Bob kept talking about how Jay was a player to all the ladies and really liked to smoke the ganja.

First, I got a brand new reporter. Janet replaced Melissa for the entertainment reporter on the show Fuzion on the mun2 network. This was Janet's first night working for mun2 and was really nervious. She ended up doing really good. She seems like a fun chica, I look forward to working more with her in the future.

Christopher Reeve passed away the other day. I saw on the news that some people had started placing candles on his star on hollywood blvd walk of fame. I was walking to work this afternoon when i saw this shrine on the side walk. So I grabbed a shot along with the other tourist who where there.

I got a new client. This commercial production company called me from a reccomendation. They had me come in and shoot a casting session for a major cellular phone provider. The spot included Santa Clause and Elves. So I got an interesting view of a room filled with 15 Santa's. And i got to meet just about every midget actor in hollywood.

This is a picture of Jennifer Lopez, J-Lo, at some charity event for children at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. I was covering this for Melissa. This was a Friday night and the event didn't get out until like 8:30 pm or so. I had a date scheduled in Santa Monica, but had stomach problems for a while when i got to my car. I was kind of miserable on the date and it didn't go so well. I don't think i'll see her again. But we saw a real cool movie called, Motorcycle Diaries, it was about Che Guevera's motorcycle road trip around the tip of south america and into Chile, Peru and eventurally Venezuela. Real good movie, I highly recommend it.

I was covering it for Melissa Gonzalo of mun2 for the show Fuzion. This was in Pasadena at the civic auditorium. I saw a lot of people that night including Snoop, Flava Flave, and the Wayans brothers. Afterwards Melissa and I went and got some fish tacos in pasadena before we went to Occidental College to interview kids about scholorships

The is a photo of the lead singer of Volumen Cero while playing a show at Spaceland in Silverlake. My reporter Veronica from LatinEyes and I got an interview with them earlier in the day at Plaza Olvera, downtown L.A. and they invited us to thier show the next night. So Veronica and I show up at Spaceland the next night and we weren't on the list. Luckily the publicist from BMG got us in, but the folks from Spaceland wouldn't let us film. So we just watched the show. It was good.

This is reporter Melissa Gonzalo with a contestant from the first season of, The Swan. We went to CBS to interview a couple contestants while they were rehearsing for the next season. I started talking to the Swan contestant, Chritina Tynee, and it turns out she lives in Sacramento close to where i used to live. She drives past my old high school all the time.
