The Mayor Antonio Villariagosa give a speach at the Long Beach Ports. I was working for Telemundo and sent on assignment to cover the implementation of a new program that would begin unloading and running trucks through the evening to decrease the traffic during rush hours.

On the way back from our camping trip in the Sequoias Jeremiah and I stopped in Visalia where I was born and lived the first 7 years of my life. We visited on of the housed I lived in on Capola st. I lived in this house from the age of 4 to 7. My grandparents from Chile came and lived with us for a while here.

shot news today. Went to church down on Florence by the 110. Rev. Al Sharpton had come along with Mayor Antonio Villagairosa to pay respects to widow of man who was murdered just a few days before.

Had Jury duty this week. Didn't have to come in to the courthouse until Wednesday. I sat around bored all day in a holding tank with a bunch of other jurers. Throughout the day people would be called to be interviewed for a jury. I was never called so by about 4:30 they released us and said we had completed our jury obligation.

shot news today for Telemundo. Went to cover a Anti-illigal immigrant protest at a home depot in the Valley. This was put on by a group called Save Our State, or S.O.S. They tend to be a bit more racist than the Minute-men. Here they were protesting that Home Depot creates a safe-haven for Illigals to get work.

I was getting ready to fly home from Philidelphia after RAAM when Jodie my boss from Telemundo called to see if I could work at 3 am. So I said yes. My plane ended up arriving in L.A. late. I jumped in a cab and raced home. Made it in my door by 2:30. washed my face got into my car and headed to work. That morning they sent me to the Cathedral downtown to cover some multi-religious event. There were clergy from several different religions there for a conferance. This is a photo of some Buddhist that were standing around outside before the event.

In the flatlands of Eastern Colorado rider Ben Courier races on. Shortly after this picture was taken we found out that racer bob breedlove had been hit by a car and killed.

Ben rides threw southern Utah, approaching the town of Mexican Hat. It was so hot and humid that I could hardly breath. In mexican hat we tried a sleep break. but it was too hot.

shot a press conferance with Chilean band Le Ley today at Universal Studios. I was working for Janet Hermosillo doing a story for Mun2, Fusion. She never paid me for this job. When I tried following up with her and getting paid she would just hang up on me like I was annoying her or something. I shouldn't be suprised becuase half her checks bounced anyways. She is probably the most unprofessional reporter that I've ever worked with. In fact I really don't consider her a reporter. Just a hot chick who got a job because of her tits. I used to do half her job for her by getting the interviews and writing the stand-ups. And most of the time she would be extremely late for interviews leaving me to sit and twiddle my thumbs with the Artist and thier angry management.

I worked as the Director of Photography on a short film for a friend of Michelle's. Todd Forney. He produced this short call Quijamatic 5000. We shot pretty late into the evening. This is one of the actors made up like the devil. He was in a blue screen shot.

This is driving southbound toward Los Angeles on the 101. I'm somewhere around the Sherman Oaks area. I saw this interesting car approaching and decided to take a picture.

did morning news show at small mexican bakery in East L.A.

So i had this avacado seed that i left soaking in the water. after soaking it for a while i decided it was time to plant it. So in order to make the best soil mixture i need some sand. I went down to Santa Monica beach and collected some sand to raise my avacado tree.

this is the sprout of an apple seed that I planted. I hope to grow it into a mighty tree... later it died from some fungus growing on the pot it was in.

shot the entertainment reporter for the morning show on Telemundo. we went to a mexican restaurant down in south L.A. these were some traditional dancers there.

This was the morning after the premier of Star Wars Episode III. I was at the Archlight theater in downtown Hollywood.

Went to the house of Deloris Jurete and ceasar chavez's brother. I asked her where the phrase " Si Se Puede" came from. She said back in the day they were in Arizona at some farm workers protest. They were talking about what they were going to do and everyone would say you can't do that here in Arizona, no se puede. and she would say, Yes we can " si se puede" and that's where the saying came from .

Memorial day I started by shooting a story for NBC and Telemundo. Went to the national cementary close to the 405. Was looking around for shots when I spotted an old asian couple hanging out around a tombstone. It was thier son. He had died a few months prior while in Iraq. They said that they came here every day.
Later I returned with my parents and Michelle. We walked around and took pictures for a while.

Shot news today. had to cover a truck overturned headed Eastbound into downtown on the I-10. I approached from the westbound lane and when I saw the incident I just stopped in the center lane and jumped out with my camera.

Pope John Paul had died. So the boss at Telemundo called me up to do camera for the live shot at the cathedral downtown. We were to wait for the announcement of the new pope. The first night we were out there we thought we would be a while, but early in the morning the decision was made. We set up the camera on the cathedral grounds with a little monitor for the reporter to see the newcast in front of my camera. The people who were coming to the cathedral all gathered around my camera to watch the tv to see the announcement. Everything was quite when we hear over the tv. " And now the cardinal from Chile,....." I shouted "Chile!" in excitement and everyone looked at me. the voice continued " will announce the new pope"".. I was so embarresad.

Worked as the live remote camera for the morning show. Went to the Orange County fairgrounds for some sort of animal fair.

I was a victim of a crime. Someone has been breaking into the mailboxes in my building. They actually stole one of my paychecks. So I went down to the West Hollywood Sherriff Dept. to report the crime. They wouldn't touch it because since they broke into my mailbox it was a federal postal crime and in thier juristiction.

Went out to drinks with someone new that I met while working. We went to this bar out in santa monica where an artist who paints bodies had his show.

Jeremiah and I hung out at home and did chalk drawings on the back patio. This is my rendering of "The Hurricanes"

Jeremiah came down to L.A. for spring break. We decided to go hiking up Runyon canyon. this is Jeremiah taking pictures at the hilltop.

Worked for NBC/Telemundo shooting the Los Angeles marathon. I got the camera above the finnish line. So I tracked runners as they came in and then a camera on the ground got them across the finnish line.
